Hi, I'm Melissa ♡
By day I'm an engineer. The rest of the time, I'm making something: embroidery, sewing, paper crafts, vinyl and 3D prints. One Nerdy Crafter is where those two sides of me meet. Where geeky meets crafty.
I learned to sew from my mom when I was young, and I've been making things ever since. Engineering gave me a love for a good design problem. Crafting lets me solve them in thread, fabric and filament. Some designs in this shop are my own. For the rest, I seek out talented independent designers whose work I love, and I'm proud to support and credit them. Either way, every clicker, mug rug, mini quilt and keychain is made, tested and finished by hand in Mesa, Arizona.
Made by a neurodiverse family
We're an ADHD and autism family, and that shapes what I make. Different hands and brains like different things, so our clickers come in different clicks, including silent. At our Clicker Bar Parties, everyone builds the one that feels just right.

You can find me at markets around Mesa (check the Events page), or I can bring the Clicker Bar to your birthday party, classroom, scout troop or team event.
My other nerdy project
I also created Virtual Clerk of Course, which runs the clerk of course desk at swim meets: scratches and check-ins from a phone, live event status and results, in everyone's hand. If you're a swim family (maybe you spotted our swim fin and kickboard keychains), take a look.
